I totally agree with you about the "markup" on the set. I also want to get one from the Portland LEGO Store. Remember we'll probably get a discount, AND there's no sales tax in Oregon! It also has a price-per-piece ratio of less than 7 ¢ (USD) each. Compared to other similar sets, such as ...

Café Corner & Hobby Train released!

Hi all,
10182 - Café Corner and 10183 Hobby Train are now available for order.

I wish I could order the Café, but I just made a very large Bricklink order. Alas! I hope I can get it at the LEGO store in Portland, especially if there's a discount.

Actually, the interesting part is that they've labelled it a MMOG, not a MMORPG. I don't play many more games, but it would be really neat to see a LEGO Island-ish game that was "massively multiplayer"...both editions were really fun!

Looks like a brand new piece - And it looks really cool! I really love these sets...the concept of the having Skeleton bad guys instead of minifigure bad guys is fun.

Ooh! This is strange, since I was there a few days ago and picked up one of the tractors with the yellow sticker. There was no ads about the 50% - But at the till I got the discount.

Now that I know it wasn't a lucky day, I'll head back for more! Thanks!

If I were to buy one, I'd definitely do it through a friend in the US. The story I've heard is that the market in the US is more fierce, so LEGO has to keep their prices down further. Even shopping regular priced in stores down there can be like shopping a 20% off sale here.

10179 Millennium Falcon

$679 Canadian pricetag? This is crazy talk! http://cache.lego.com/images/shop/prod/10179-0000-xx-12-1.jpg Looks like a stunning model, though - I hope it looks as good in person! Due to it being all bley it would be relegated to a display for a very long time. Personally, I always thought the ISD wa...
