Café Corner & Hobby Train released!

Post by J1A3L5 »

Hi all,
10182 - Café Corner and 10183 Hobby Train are now available for order.

I wish I could order the Café, but I just made a very large Bricklink order. Alas! I hope I can get it at the LEGO store in Portland, especially if there's a discount.

Well, as of 11:00 pm Saturday the Hobby Train set is not appearing when I check S@H but the Corner Cafe is and listing @ $200 as I predicted.

I will definately be picking up at least one @ BrickFest (if they have any by the time I get to the store). The mark-up to Cdn$$ is still way out of wack. Today's exchange rate sets us$140 = cdn$164.

$36 for the privilege of buying in Canadian $$? Even the tourist shops on Government street don't charge service fees like that! :(

I totally agree with you about the "markup" on the set. I also want to get one from the Portland LEGO Store. Remember we'll probably get a discount, AND there's no sales tax in Oregon! It also has a price-per-piece ratio of less than 7 ¢ (USD) each. Compared to other similar sets, such as UCS, this is excitingly cheap.

I'm not sure what's up with the hobby train, it works for me.

Hi Guys,
I wish I was able to get to Portland with you - I need to sell more Lego in my store ... Oh well.
I would really be interested in getting the corner cafe at a discount if one of you could purchase me one. The train sounds very good too, but I have to choose between the two.

Let me know if this is a possibility.
Thanks.
Bert
