[MOC] Sosumi Japanese Restaurant

Post by tedward »

Sosumi Japanese Restaurant is based on an actual building in Victoria. Some of you may have seen this but I finally got around to taking pictures so I thought I would post.

The restaurant fills the first (ground) floor and a martial arts studio (no name yet, just "the dojo") occupies the space above.

Notes:
  • The custom engraved bricks are from Tommy and there is some BrickForge glassware and cleaver, but otherwise everything is pure LEGO (I think), even the stickers used on the doors.
  • The two parking stalls are designed to be accessed by using a T-junction baseplate creating a larger "interior" corner layout. To be accurate to the real-life inspiration I will eventually have to build a submarine sandwich shop to fill in the other side of the corner.

Outstanding! I love it. Glad all those masonry bricks are going to good use.

The garbage bin is a really nice touch, not seen one done that way before. It looks a lot like what "real" ones do.

Late to the party, but I'll add my kudos! Lovely little build!
